Six Simple Ways (to promote LETS)

1. Tell a Friend – tell your community. LETS has grown mostly by word of mouth.
2. Send the ‘Invite a friend’ email from your Homepage (left column, scroll down).
3. Add to your Wants. Wants generate good responses and dreams can come true.
4. Forward Lets Emails to your friends so they’ll see the Wants and Offers.
5. Distribute leaflets in your local cafe / club / shop / stylist's / meeting place.
6. LIKE & SHARE Lets Trade (Cork) on Facebook.

Local Centres

LETS is a network of individuals and groups trading throughout Cork county. It is currently most active in Cork City, but we can see LETS developing in an organic way. As our numbers grow, we would like to see community groups in specific areas develop their own local LETS networks to grow and connect their own area’s trading network. For example, there may be a number of members in West Cork or other parts of the county who will establish their own local hubs and trading markets, events, etc., using and helping to promote the LETS system to those interested in their own area.

Volunteer Your Help

LETS is a community system, and everyone’s skills and contributions will help the community to thrive. The more active members and volunteers, the more the system flourishes and the community trading landscape grows.

Your skills can help make Cork LETS a success.

LETS needs people with different skills, like local Admins to help –

• organise local talks, events, markets
• welcome new members
• manage accounts locally
• develop social media locally
• advertise local Wants & Offers
• distribute posters
• invite local clubs, schools and local groups to participate
• help develop with the website / local websites

All Admins and Volunteers are rewarded @ ₵6 per hour, funds permitting.
